The levers in the signalboxes at North Weald and Ongar have been animated and are coupled to the switches and signals. This is however only done on the service tracks, not on the sidings. The EOR does hope they can, in the future, build a platform along the track a little closer to the Epping Underground station (where passengers can interchange to/from the Central Line).Īs a result of a poll among users on the forum, the Epping-Ongar Railway in the simulator has been equiped with 3rd/4th rails, to enable London Underground trains to drive to Ongar once again. This is only a reversing point there is no platform for passengers to get on/off the train. In reality, trains from North Weald towards Ongar end at 'Epping Forest'. While the line was still part of the Central Line, trains to Ongar mostly ran as a shuttle service from Epping, using track 1 at Epping, while trains towards London used track 2 (the track next to the station building). The connection at Epping to the Central line still exists, and so in the simulator, you may enter Epping Station. The line has since been re-opened as a heritage railway, running under diesel and steam power. It used to be part of the Central line, but was closed to passenger traffic in 1994. The Epping-Ongar railway runs from Epping Forest via North Weald to Ongar.
